Astrologer and Cycles Research Investments, LLC, Founder Bill Meridian has been named 2016 Stock Market Timer of the Year by Timer Digest, an independent rating service that reviews markets worldwide.
From offices in Greenwich, Connecticut the service monitors over 100 leading market timing models, ranking the top stock, bond, and gold timers according to the performance of their recommendations over the previous 52 weeks.
Prior to earning this year’s top stock market rating Meridian had been ranked number one in stock market timing twice before and was once rated the service’s top bond market timer. He has consistently ranked among the top-rated investors tracked by the service.
Meridian says Cycles Research has an extensive longer term database and can project market price and economic data. The combination of fundamental and market-related screens has outperformed the market since 1996 by a margin of almost four to one.
According to Timer Digest, Meridian’s model portfolio has risen at a 19.9 percent annual rate versus the 5.6 percent annual return for the S&P, rebalanced quarterly, from 1996 through 2013. The portfolio has exceeded the benchmark in 51 of the last 68 quarters.
Meridian has a BS degree in banking and an MBA in finance from New York University. He started working with investment cycles in 1972 following graduation from NYU and currently divides his time between Vienna, New York City and Abu Dhabi.
He is author of Planetary Stock Trading, which now is in its fourth edition. His second book, Planetary Economic Forecasting, is a study of the relationship between planetary cycles and industrial production over the last 220 years.
Meridian also is the author of The Predictive Power of Planetary Eclipse Paths. More information is available at www.billmeridian.com.
