Taurus New Moon 2024

A new cycle, when the Sun and Moon join together in the sky
above us, is about to begin this Tuesday May 7 th – May 8 th , depending on
where you reside on the planet. We are leaving the intensity of the last
month and the Eclipse season behind us when a total Solar Eclipse took
place April 8th passing over the middle of the United States. We have
also just completed three weeks of Mercury being in retrograde
relationship to the earth. Riots and uprisings have blasted out across
college campuses all over the country. A dozen tornadoes have wrecked
havoc through out the mid west destroying homes and lives and a
former president’s dirty laundry is hanging across American television
screens, showing the dis function of government, our legal system and
the faultiness of American democracy. Events, have been magnified and
enlarged and emotions have been exaggerated on planet earth during
this past month as the Moon blocked out the light of the Sun. Now
another story begins…
When the Sun and Moon join together in Taurus every year
sometime between April 20 th and May 20 th steadiness and stability start
to set in. Aries, that just passed, was about aggressiveness, assertiveness
independence and about starting something new. The sign Taurus that
follows wants peace and ease. The spring seed has been planted and
now in this Taurus time we need to care for it, water it, nourish it and
help it grow. In the month ahead it is time to slow down and fertilize
the newly growing roots of our projects. It’s time to slow down now and
simply be.
Taurus needs pleasure and to soothe the nervous system an
appreciation and experience of beauty and art. Taurus loves the
sensuality of good smells and lovely sounds. It’s a month to have
flowers on your table and tickets to ballets and concerts in your town.
Taurus, as an earth sign, requires taking stock of our values, our
finances and our security. During the month ahead count your
resources and make a simple plan, encouraging them to practically
grow. This is an effective and affluent time for monetary focus. Our
prosperity can flourish and flow.
It sounds smooth and simple but this New Moon is taking place
next to the planet Uranus, the disrupter. Uranus takes 84 years to move
around the zodiac and having it a few degrees away from this New
Moon is rare and sure to continue the recent uprisings. We will need to

be flexible, more adaptable and more accepting as chaotic change is
Uranus’s message and intent. Uranus wakes us up in a flash, and in a
panic. The planet demands that we live authentically in the moment of
possibility. We need to learn to ride the energy like a wave. Uranus can
create breakthroughs and breakdowns.
We’ll have to be fearlessly open to experiencing each one as the
Sun and Moon align in the earthy, softness of gentle Taurus, while
erratic, unpredictable Uranus stands next to them with a thunderbolt in
his hands!
The month ahead is sure to be rocky, but our understanding of
why it is so, while enjoying the ride on the very tip of the wave, can
hopefully take the sharp sting out of our lands …
