Conservative Activist Charlie Kirk Shot and Killed

September 11, 2025

By Sue Kientz

On September 10, 2025, conservative influencer and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk had just started speaking at an open air venue at Utah Valley University, surrounded by a large crowd of students and other attendees, when he was suddenly shot in the neck(1). He collapsed and was quickly swarmed by his staff and security personnel, who soon transported him in an SUV to a hospital where later he was pronounced dead. The fatal shot was apparently fired from a nearby campus building. At the time of this report, the shooter is still at large, with only a very sketchy description reported (dressed in black and seen with a rifle).

The news of Kirk’s shocking murder delivered a seismic hit to both sides of the political spectrum, with both Democrats and Republicans as well as a considerable number of other voices nationally and internationally denouncing the action and pledging to pray for Kirk and his family – his wife and two young children were unfortunately present at the Utah event. If only astrology were better understood and regarded, especially with the advances of having the large additions called Dwarf Planets discovered at the turn of the century, people could see others more clearly and understand the kind of personality differences each individual brings to the general conversation. Charlie Kirk could be immediately perceived what he was born to be, as it’s so obviously displayed in the planetary configurations of his birth.

Born Charles James Kirk on October 14, 1993,(2) Charlie Kirk was born with Sun (21 Libra) and Jupiter (24 Libra) opposite dwarf planet Eris (17 Aries) and square a conjunction of Neptune and Uranus (both 18 Capricorn), an energetic albeit difficult setup called a T-square (an opposition – 180 degrees – bisected by one or more planets on one side). An individual with Sun/Jupiter would be expansive, outgoing, a traveler, moved to push boundaries, and yet opposite formidable Eris (a body as large as Pluto), he feels there are others he doesn’t quite understand (Eris represents alienation, difficulty connecting with others unlike oneself)(3), who he feels are natural rivals to his ambitions and life’s mission. The square (90 degrees) to Neptune and Uranus represents his choice to tackle this tension in a profession, where he would attempt to give his ideas and opinion a wide reach (Neptune, on some sort of video or broadcast platform) where he could engage these rivals intellectually and verbally (Uranus, representing reason, higher-level engagement, definitely intellectual in nature).

His Libra Sun is also semisquare newly-named(4) dwarf planet candidate Chiminigagua (7 Virgo), a body that research finds prominently placed in individuals who clamor for attention, often manifesting as loud talking or speaking in a strange or aggressive manner(5), a trait doubly reinforced by Kirk having Mercury (15 Scorpio) and Mars (11 Scorpio) conjunct, which gives one’s speech and communication (Mercury) forcefulness and urgency (Mars). These rambunctious tendencies, however, appear somewhat tempered by Charlie’s Sun forming a trine (120 degrees, considered fortunate, supportive) to Saturn (23 Aquarius) and dwarf planet Gonggong (25 Aquarius). One can see his conservative bent with this positive placement of Saturn (hallmark of tradition, responsibility, restriction) to his Sun. With Gonggong (symbolic of sensitivity and compassion) also involved, they both transmute the competitiveness inherent in the Sun’s T-square with Eris and Neptune-Uranus, not a lot but enough that Kirk garnered a reputation for actively encouraging civil debate in politics.(6)

If Charlie Kirk was rather formidable in his ability to argue his case, to challenge others who debated him, that is to his credit, because as you can now see, this is who he was and how he was wired.(7) He encouraged his opponents to try to prove him wrong, with their abilities and their ideas. That is the victory he offered others, not this cowardly attempt at dominance resulting in his death that tragically ends an exuberant life and deprives his family of a loving husband and father.

Some notable Chiminigagua examples are “loud” comedians like the late Sam Kinison (Sun trine Chiminigagua) and Gilbert Gottfried (Mercury trine Chiminigagua), as well as actor and dancer James Cagney (Sun conjunct Chiminigagua) and talk show host Stephen Colbert (Sun square Chiminigagua); also see “Dwarf Planet Basics,” 6 November 2024, ANS, https://astrologynewsservice.com/articles/dwarf-planet-basics/

  7. “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert not only resembles Charlie Kirk in that Colbert has Sun square Chiminigagua, but also has Mercury conjunct Mars in Taurus, and is similarly annoying to some. But he – like Kirk – made it his job to be a provocateur and successfully so.

Her experience researching the latter led to her book More Plutos, which received a 2016 eLit Award. More Plutos also addresses how resonance, fractals, and intuition can explain how astrology works.
