The Bezos-Sánchez Wedding

June 29, 2025

By Sue Kientz

Nothing seems to irritate some people more than rich people getting married who can afford to really glitz up the proceedings. This was true for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2018, and it’s true now about the nuptials of Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and his fiancée, former Fox 11 TV reporter Lauren Sánchez.

Yet what can mere mortals know about the Bezos wedding except the dry details, like the enchanting Venice, Italy, venue and the 200 A-list celebrity guests, Lauren’s $2.5-million pink diamond engagement ring, her wedding present from Jeff of a $5-million diamond necklace, her Dolce & Gabbana wedding gown with 180 silk chiffon-covered buttons (bet that slowed down the wedding night), and finally the whopping $55 million estimated price tag for the entire celebration.(1)

Astrologers, however, can see past those externals to more interesting and intimate details as long as birthdates are available for the bride and groom, hopefully with authoritative birth times. Even without birth times, just the birthdays (and locations) offer an enormous amount of information. Here are what astrologers can see beyond the diamonds, yachts, silk, private jets, and fat bank accounts, with just two birthdays and a wedding date.

First, there are clear markers of the serious money Bezos shelled out for the festivities. It should be no surprise to find excessive spending at a billionaire’s wedding, and yet Jeff and Lauren uncannily picked June 27, 2025,(2) at Sun (6 Cancer) conjunct Jupiter (4 Cancer). Jupiter is the planet of Excess, as in overspending, over-consuming, and partying all night long. This date is also a natural choice for a couple desiring to marry in romantic Venice surrounded by water and threaded with canals, with Sun and Jupiter in water-sign Cancer. But there are further signs that Bezos would have such an expensive wedding and have it now – transiting Venus (22 Taurus) was trine (a fortunate position of 120 degrees) Bezos’ Sun (21 Capricorn),(3) indicating he would feel comfortable “letting go” of great sums for a loved one (Sun). Venus also opposes (180 degrees) his Juno (24 Scorpio), a large asteroid named for the Roman goddess of marriage, making it a lock that a prime occasion for such a monetary outlay would be marriage. Bezos’ Venus (24 Aquarius) is square (the more challenging 90 degrees) his Juno, another indicator that he would strive to impress others including his bride, with his marriage arrangements.

Jeff Bezos has a plutocrat’s desired chart, with Sun trine Pluto (14 Virgo), and Lauren has the ambitions of such a person, with her Sun (27 Sagittarius) square Pluto (27 Virgo).(4) Pluto represents the will of the individual, the desire for control, and the drive to obtain what one dearly desires for oneself. Bezos has worked hard in founding and operating Amazon, but he’s also been fortunate (trine) to implement a great idea at the right time. Lauren has had a harder time of it and certainly hasn’t amassed the fortune her new husband has, but she is attracted to such a man who could manage that feat.

That said, there are strong indications that this may not be a calculated union for either of them. Both appear to connect with each other intellectually and emotionally, as they share similar, fortunate pairings of Mercury (the mind) and Moon (the emotions). Jeff Bezos has Mercury retrograde(5) (5 Capricorn) conjunct Moon (28 Sagittarius), while his bride has Mercury (15 Capricorn) trine Moon (10 Taurus). This Mercury-Moon symbolism is even present at the time of their vows, which occurred at Mercury (1 Leo) conjunct Moon (6 Leo). So both have a well integrated balance between thinking and their emotions, which benefits both of them. But this connection is also intertwined between the two. Lauren’s Mercury (15 Capricorn) is conjunct Jeff’s Sun (21 Capricorn), and Jeff’s Mercury (5 Capricorn) is trine Lauren’s Moon (10 Taurus). These are two persons who are very much in synch with each other, a boon that money cannot buy.

Perhaps the most solid, fortunate connection these two people have might sound like the most basic. The fact that Lauren’s Sun (27 Sagittarius) is conjunct Jeff’s Moon (28 Sagittarius) is a veritable hole-in-one as far as Lauren is concerned. When one person’s Moon is conjunct another’s Sun degree, the Moon person is often completely smitten by the Sun person. In other words, when Jeff met Lauren, in some sense he saw his heart’s desire (his Moon represents his secret yearnings) in the flesh (her Sun position represents her life force and the person she is in public).

With that much going for these two people, who found one another in a sea of other humans, and all those billions of dollars, that’s some kind of luck!
