Trump to DHS Sec Noem:  “You’re Fired!”

On Background:  On Thursday, 5 March 2026, US President Donald Trump exited Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem from her job, with a social media post.  Trump softened the blow by implying she was being promoted to Envoy of the Shield of the Americas, a hemispheric security council that doesn’t actually exist.

Noem’s sins were many and varied; as the head of DHS, she oversaw the disastrous ICE and CBP onslaughts on US cities, including the shooting deaths of two Americans by immigration officers.  She was also tagged with insufficient disaster relief efforts following flooding in the Carolinas; having an extramarital affair with a staffer; and charged with corruption in awarding DHS contracts to the husband of her top spokesperson.  But the last straw appears to have been $200 million of taxpayer dollars for DHS promotional ads that seemed more to promote Noem herself as a potential 2028 presidential candidate.

In Brief:  A close conjunction of Venus (28 Pisces), Neptune (1 Aries) and Saturn (2 Aries) signaled the disappearance (Neptune) of a female (Venus) from government employment (Saturn).  At the time of the 1:41 PM EST announcement of the change, this cluster had just risen over the Ascendant (11 Aries), appearing in the Twelfth House of self-undoing.

Also at that hour, the Moon (9 Libra) was setting on the Descendant (11 Libra), in square (90 degrees, challenging, stressful) to Jupiter (15 Cancer), with the Descendant symbolic of a metaphoric “death,” the Moon again indicating a woman, and Jupiter ruling politics.

Deep Dive:  As well, Jupiter is embedded at its station degree (1), about to turn direct on March 11^th, granting it additional heft and impact for the timeframe.  With Jupiter is asteroid Donn (11 Cancer), representing Donald Trump, the politician at the heart of the decision to oust Noem.  Opposing (180 degrees) is asteroid Nemesis (8 Capricorn), conjunct the MC (6 Capricorn), forming a T-Square (2) with the Moon, and further identifying the US president (Donn) as a source of ruin or destruction (Nemesis) for the status and reputation (MC) of the woman in question (Moon).

Trump has chosen Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-Oklahoma), a former MMA fighter and fanatical Trump advocate, to replace Noem, as reflected in asteroid Marc (24 Sagittarius), for Markwayne, squared to asteroid Noemi (27 Pisces), for Noem, which conjoins the Venus/Neptune/Saturn grouping, also including asteroid Mullo (29 Pisces), closest to “Mullin.”

Asteroid Christy (13 Taurus), alternate spelling of Kristi, forms a Grand Trine Kite pattern (3), with trine aspects (120 degrees) to asteroids Whitehouse (19 Capricorn) and Losse (18 Virgo), representing the President (Whitehouse) and the job loss (Losse) he initiated.  The String of the Kite, a focal point guiding its manifestation, is an opposition from Losse to Mercury (18 Pisces), in conjunction with the Sun (14 Pisces) and asteroid NOT (16 Pisces), bringing news (Mercury) that Noem (Christy) is no longer (NOT, a general disqualifier or symbol of negation) a Cabinet Secretary (Mercury also).

Notes:  (1) Stations are periods when, from our perspective on Earth, a planet appears to slow its movement, come to a standstill, and reverse course.  This is an optical illusion created by the triangulation between the sun, Earth, and any third celestial body; astrologically, it represents a focusing of the energies associated with that point, and often coincides with major life events or a radical recalibration of how that point has functioned previously.

(2) A T-Square is a dynamic pattern composed of two or more planets in opposition (180 degrees), each squared (90 degrees) a third.  It represents stress and conflict, with the fulcrum point (at the square) offering a possibility of resolution.

(3) A Kite is special type of Grand Trine, with one or more points opposing one of the three primary Grand Trine points.  The point in opposition is termed the “String,” and guides the operation and manifestation of the Kite itself.
