A Tale of Two Trump Critics

May 3, 2026

By Sue Kientz

On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, two vastly different men, each with admittedly great variance of personal power, found occasion to deliver some well-aimed zingers at President Trump. One was given a historic stage to air his remarks and was applauded by Donald Trump’s foes and friends alike. (1) The other has been metaphorically ground under Trump’s foot repeatedly and, on the occasion of being indicted in what is already assumed to be a malicious prosecution (the second), resorted to a brief but pointed Instagram video. (2) Even if one knows the history behind each one’s relationship with Donald Trump, what is really fascinating is the “under the hood” view one gets when you dig into astrology’s special perspective on these men.

The first critic to weigh in was King Charles III of the United Kingdom, who was visiting Washington, DC, by invitation from President Trump. King Charles was given the honor of addressing both houses of Congress that afternoon, with his speech commencing at 3:09 p.m. (3) The King, softly spoken, his words sometimes laced with humor and other times carefully chosen, managed to suggest that what America needed was more agreement, strong support of NATO, continued aid for Ukraine, a return to working on Climate Change, justice for victims of (unspecified) crimes (later clarified as a nod to Epstein survivors), and encouragement to work closely with Britain for the sake of preserving Europe and worldwide democracy. As he delivered this bold laundry list, watchers of American cable TV news witnessed his enthusiastic audience of both Democrats and Republicans, many times as one, rising and clapping for the King’s suggestions. One had to wonder how soon Trump would get on Truth Social and eviscerate the King for his audacity to lobby for the opposite positions the president favors, but no rebuke came. Was it Charles’s soothing British accent, beloved of many Americans whether it be actual King’s English or one of the many variant accents of the British Isles? (4)

Comparing Charles III’s birth chart (5) with Donald Trump’s (6) reveals how the two interact, specifically whether Trump will unleash his usual pushback from such criticism, however muted, or let the King’s remarks lie. King Charles’ Mars (20 Sagittarius) is conjunct Trump’s Moon (21 Sagittarius), denoting that disapproval (a mild Mars rebuke) should elicit an emotional response (Moon). Charles’ Mars is also directly opposite (180 degrees; a challenge or illumination) Trump’s Sun (22 Gemini), so in addition, Trump’s stature and reputation (symbolized by the Sun) could feel attacked. But King Charles’ Mercury (6 Scorpio), representing his particular mode of communication that is, in Scorpio, well considered, spoken carefully, and somewhat empathic, is trine (120 degrees; in perfect concord) Trump’s Mercury (8 Cancer). In effect, King Charles’ kind and skillfully delivered words likely appeared to Trump to be mellifluous and complimentary. Charles’ Sun (22 Scorpio) is slightly agitating to Trump, being sesquiquadrate (135 degrees) Trump’s Mercury, perhaps making the humorous tone the King used leading Trump to think those little jabs were jokes, simply there to enjoy a laugh together later. After all, the King’s Sun is trine Trump’s Venus (25 Cancer; financial interests) and Saturn (23 Cancer; career and business), so Trump could see Charles and he as peas in a pod, two rich, powerful figures, enjoying an apex moment together on the world’s stage.

For former FBI Director James Comey, Tuesday afternoon brought news that he was being indicted a second time, specifically accused of threatening the president’s life. (7) The incident mentioned in the indictment happened last year, when Comey posted an Instagram photo of seashells he saw on a beach that spelled out “86 47,” with “86” slang for “get rid of” (therefore argued to refer to “kill”) and “47” denoting the 47th president (Trump). Trump’s dislike of Comey apparently stems from 2017 when, as FBI director, he (and other U.S. intelligence leaders) informed then president-elect Trump before his inauguration that Trump was being investigated for collusion with Russian meddling in the 2016 election to benefit Trump. (8)

Looking at Comey’s birth chart (9), his Sun (22 Sagittarius) is directly opposed to Trump’s Sun (22 Gemini). Either one might perceive the other to be a partner or a rival. On Comey’s part, his Neptune (10 Scorpio) is also square (90 degrees; a major challenge or worry) Trump’s Pluto (10 Leo), signifying that something about Comey makes Donald Trump feel off-balance, his power (Pluto) diluted (Neptune). The irritation from Comey’s mere presence doesn’t stop there, with his Jupiter (10 Capricorn) opposing Trump’s Mercury (8 Cancer), possibly symbolic of Comey’s longtime government connections that resulted in a leadership position (Jupiter, good fortune and expansion, in Capricorn, career and reputation), and that could prey on Trump’s mind (Mercury, one’s thoughts), especially with the cloud of Russian interference hanging over Trump’s term at the time.

Probably from the moment he learned of the investigations, Trump saw Comey as a serious threat. Comey’s Uranus (25 Leo) conjunct Trump’s Mars (26 Leo) could very well lead to a case of nerves for Trump, with Uranus representing keen insight (positive), upheaval or revolt (negative). No wonder he insisted that Comey pledge loyalty, and how troubling for him when Comey refused. Add to that, Comey’s Haumea (1 Virgo) sits right at Trump’s Ascendant (29 Leo). The third largest dwarf planet, Haumea symbolizes dramatic or drastic change. (10) When one person’s Haumea aligns with another’s highly personal bodies or points like the Sun, Moon, or Ascendent, the Haumea person can look (or loom) transformative, able to heal, fix, remake, or ruin the other. With Trump interpreting Comey as potent threat rather than helpful ally, it’s no wonder President Trump keeps hammering his Department of Justice to find a reason to put James Comey away.

What did James Comey say in his Instagram video comment regarding this second indictment? “I am still innocent. I am still not afraid. And I still believe in the independent judiciary, so let’s go.” (11) Ever the optimistic Sagittarius, especially regarding Justice (of which Sagittarius is symbolic).  Most commentators agree that Comey should succeed against this indictment. (12) The conservative celestial court concurs, since on the day the indictment landed and Comey’s video response appeared, Saturn (8 Aries) was trine Comey’s Mercury (10 Sagittarius; his words are supported) but square Trump’s Mercury (8 Cancer; his complaint not favored).
