Uranus Finds Friends, Some Concerns in Gemini

April 23, 2026

By Sue Kientz

After playing footsie at the gates of the Celestial Twins for a year, Uranus, heavenly master of Invention, Specialized Knowledge, and Revolutions both scientific and political, is ready to fully enter into Gemini’s changeable realm of Mind and Unbounded Imagination.

This is a welcome break from Uranus’s years in Taurus, which bogged down this lively, creative force in material concerns and mundane existence. But this won’t be as pleasant a seven-year sojourn as Uranus had cruising through Aquarius, the last Air Sign that it occupied from 1996 to 2003. All was excitement back then, with the Internet in full expansion mode, new ideas, wild dreams able to digitally come true, seemingly no end to the possibilities. Aquarian Uranus didn’t know or care that bad actors lurked inside the great panorama of the World Wide Web; that came later when Uranus entered Pisces and picked up the pieces of truth scattered everywhere.

Nevertheless, Uranus gleefully steps into light-hearted Gemini, hopeful to produce new inspiration for even more useful technologies and gadgets of all kinds, physical and virtual. Soon after, however, Uranus runs into dwarf planet Sedna (1), a somber, sad, yet determined and patient creative force that travels a 11,400-year path round the Sun. Serious and steadfast Sedna was perhaps once a denizen of the mysterious Oort Cloud. All who aspire to finish a project birthed from deep creative springs but are suddenly afoul of some impossibly knotty issue, should keep a Sednan faith; you may find that easing off and just persisting will enable progress to resume soon.

After that hang-up, a comforting nudge from Neptune and powerful support from Aquarian Pluto will hearten all who are eager to move forward in their most treasured endeavors. There is nothing massively challenging to oppose Uranus as it moves through Gemini in the next seven-plus years. Watch any overly aggressive moves you might be tempted to make early the next decade, since Uranus will square (90 degrees, a challenge one could surmount by diligence) dwarf planet Chiminigagua (2) in 2030. And make sure there are no outstanding legal issues or contract problems after that, when Uranus squares dwarf planet Orcus from 2030-32. A stranger or unusual person could be useful to you in those issues or other snags, since Uranus will also be sextile (60 degrees; a helping hand) dwarf planet Eris, the Other, as in someone unfamiliar or off-putting (3). However you handle things, be sure to clear up all lingering legal or (heaven forbid) criminal concerns by mid-2032 or feel Saturn’s heavy hand on your shoulder as the ringed one is due to catch up to Uranus as the latter prepares to leave Gemini for the salty spray of Cancer.

One last word of advice: if you have a really crazy, completely impractical idea that you cannot let go of but must try to make work, aim for the end of this decade. In 2029, Uranus will favorably trine (120 degrees; brings luck and ease of expression) its dwarf planet cohort, Makemake (4), which brings ideas so far ahead of their time, they often appear ludicrous. That’s when you have the best chance of pulling off the impossible, when those two are working in friendly concert.
