Trump’s Pursuit of Fantastic Wealth Hits a Snag
By Sue Kientz
Donald Trump has pursued extreme wealth all his life. He began by reportedly borrowing $1 million from his father (1), and later in various ways, e.g., via trusts and other financial instruments (both legal and suspect), he inherited hundreds of millions more from his father. (2) While running for president the first time, he claimed to be worth $10 billion, but when pressed he admitted that he valued the “Trump brand” (in other words, the value of his own properties named “Trump” and licensing the name “Trump” to other properties and products) to be worth $10 billion. (3) Once Trump became president in 2017, unlike all his predecessors, he benefited financially in various ways, e.g., he collected income from his DC hotel, he had his Secret Service Team lodged at his own clubs while visiting those properties, just a few examples of numerous income streams that he pocketed, (4) even though as president he was not supposed to earn anything above his presidential salary. (5)
Once President Trump was elected again in 2024, his no-holds-barred pursuit of money went into overdrive. Just after the 2025 inauguration, he and his family launched a cryptocurrency called USD1 (6), which soared in value as Trump promised to loosen restrictions on crypto, followed by investments in a Trump meme coin and other crypto purchases. (7) His family openly pursued deals with foreign dignitaries; a “new Air Force One” was offered to Trump by Qatar and accepted; suspiciously fortuitous stock trades and Polymarket bets that seemed perfectly timed to Trump executive actions or military moves yielded bonanza returns; Amazon paid Melania Trump $40M to license her documentary; and a slew of legal actions won Trump huge settlements against law firms, universities, media outlets, and a social media firm. (8)
But apparently all this wasn’t enough, as several months ago, Trump sued the IRS for $10 billion because, years ago, a federal contractor released a portion of one of his tax returns. (9) Since the IRS is part of the Executive Branch, Trump was in effect suing himself, as he was both plaintiff and the one deciding whether to settle. Worse, the funds he could “win” would be taxpayer dollars. Then a few weeks ago, the suit came before a judge who appeared skeptical of its merits, for all these reasons and more. Before any further action was taken, however, Trump decided to “settle” the suit for $1.776 billion that would be paid into an “Anti-Weaponization” fund that anyone who felt victimized by President Biden’s Dept. of Justice could apply to for financial redress. (10) Once its details were revealed, however, people were shocked at the terms. (11) Yes, anyone could apply for “relief” of any amount, but Trump tightly controlled who and how much anyone received, meaning he could award his allies and even the January 6 rioters who were convicted of serious crimes, hefty sums, and deny anything to people he did not favor. All disbursement of money would be secret, with the public never knowing who got what. Even Trump himself could apply for the money himself, as there was no wording specifically excluding him.
This was truly a bridge too far, even for congressional Republicans, many of whom openly criticized this “slush fund” as it was soon called. One would think President Trump was already racking up a lot of money; why risk alienating his allies in congress not to mention his supporters struggling with high gas and other prices due to the Iran war? But this feverish and reckless pursuit of more and more wealth is obvious to any astrologer who looks at Donald Trump’s birth chart (12) and tracks it through time using longstanding astrological techniques. First of all, Trump was born with Venus (25 Cancer) conjunct Saturn (23 Cancer), a union that represents a parent (Saturn) with money (Venus), and that in itself can lead to a driving ambition (Saturn as well) to obtain that money. Right now, Jupiter (23 Cancer) is conjunct Trump’s Saturn (career, reputation), as the blowback (Jupiter, symbol of excess; therefore, a huge response) of this scandal has reached a dizzying crisis point – yesterday (May 29) morning a judge, responding to a lawsuit from the prosecutor of the January 6 cases, paused implementation of the “fund” until it can be properly vetted (13). Hours later, responding to a letter from 35 former judges urging the IRS case be reopened so an investigation of the “settlement” can take place (14), the judge who dismissed the IRS case indeed reopened it and set a hearing in mid-June to examine the settlement details (15). All this came the day Venus (13 Cancer) conjoined the U.S. Sun (13 Cancer) (16), the latter representing both The People (the “Center” – Sun – of the United States is The People per the Constitution, and the Moon represents them via the sign Cancer) as well as its chief executive. In this way, all eyes are on how Americans react to this legal mess as well as how Trump will respond, which doubtless will be with a stream of emotional social media posts (emotional outbursts are Moon related).
There is another way of viewing this growing debacle that might be of keen interest, using an alternate technique astrologers call Secondary Progression. Remember Trump’s Venus conjunct Saturn in his birth chart? In Secondary Progression, you look at the days after one’s birth as if they represent years, which means you look at where all the planets are, for Trump’s status today, nearly 80 days after his birth. Astrology software gives you an exact calculation of this, which shows that this week, the president’s “progressed” Venus (25 Libra) has traveled a quarter of the way around his chart and met up with his progressed Jupiter (25 Libra). These two have been getting closer and closer for years until just last Sunday, when Venus passed Jupiter, making that the apex moment of him having an enormous amount (Jupiter) of money (Venus). But Venus will next square (90 degrees, a crisis or challenge) Trump’s natal Venus, and that suggests that this dream of amassing billions of dollars will somehow negatively impact his finances, his core value, even his relationships (all Venus symbols) in troublesome ways.
