From Venus in Pisces to Venus in Aries: A Shift in Expression

March 9, 2026

by Ana Andrade

Venus has recently moved from Pisces into Aries. Venus, the planet associated with love, relationships, harmony, and women, was previously in Pisces, the Sign of her exaltation. Exaltation represents an essential dignity in traditional astrology, a condition in which the planet can express its nature with relative ease and comfort. By contrast, Aries is the Sign of Venus’s detriment, an essential debility, because it lies opposite Libra, one of Venus’s domiciles (meaning, a Sign it rules, or has a natural affinity with).

This transition therefore represents a qualitative change in Venus’s condition: a movement from a position of dignity to a more challenging and uncomfortable one. Symbolically, it suggests a shift in the expression of Venusian themes—from empathy, compassion, and permeability (qualities associated with Pisces) to a more assertive, impulsive, and sometimes confrontational tone characteristic of Aries.

Pisces is traditionally linked with empathy, compassion, blurred boundaries, and sometimes invisibility or withdrawal. Aries, by contrast, is associated with initiative, impatience, anger, and decisive action. As Venus moves between these two Signs, we may observe changes in the way Venusian matters—particularly those involving women, diplomacy, and relationships—manifest in public life.

Several recent events illustrate this transition from a softer or more diffuse expression toward a more direct or confrontational one.

For example, Kristi Noem, the former Secretary of Homeland Security, was recently dismissed from her position. This event reflects very well an “exalted” position, including luxury and comments she did not retract, to a “detrimental” situation, a sharp end of her position. (1)

Meanwhile, Claudia Sheinbaum, president of Mexico, was excluded from the recent “Shield of the Americas” summit, a development that has signaled a shift in U.S.–Mexico relations. Sheinbaum also declined to participate in a U.S.-led “Board of Peace,” partly in response to the exclusion of Palestine, emphasizing instead regional security concerns and the fight against organized crime.(2)

In other cases, the shift appears as a movement from a more discreet or background role toward a more visible and assertive one.

The First Lady, Melania Trump, for instance, had recently been promoting an eponymous biographical documentary film—an activity aligned with Pisces. More recently, however, she has taken a more prominent role at the United Nations General Assembly, where she spoke about the importance of protecting children and called on social media leaders to address cyberbullying.(3)

A similar dynamic can be observed in the case of Hillary Clinton. After previously declining to testify in the U.S. House of Representatives investigation related to Jeffrey Epstein, she later appeared before the committee, reportedly expressing visible discomfort and frustration during the proceeding; her words “I´m done” are an illustration of the more confrontational tone associated with Venus in Aries. (4)

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has also recently attracted public attention following controversy surrounding the restoration of an angel statue in a Roman church that allegedly resembles her. After several days of silence, Meloni addressed the situation publicly and also clarified Italy’s position regarding the escalating tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, stating that Italy does not intend to enter the conflict.(5)

In Latin America, Laura Fernández, recently elected president of Costa Rica after winning the first round of the presidential election, generated a debate across social media when she cited Mexico as an example of a situation her country “does not want to reach.” Her remarks triggered widespread discussion.(6)

Finally, developments in North Korea also reflect a movement from rumor (Pisces) to visible assertion (Aries). In February 2026, Kim Ju Ae, the daughter of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, was reportedly confirmed as his designated successor. Although her exact age remains undisclosed—estimated to be around thirteen—she has increasingly appeared at military events and has begun to take part in policy-related activities. What had previously circulated as speculation has now become a more explicit political reality.(7)

Taken together, these developments illustrate a broader symbolic shift consistent with Venus’s transition from Pisces to Aries: from subtlety to assertion, from invisibility to visibility, and from conciliatory tones to more direct and sometimes contentious expressions.
