Leaves From a Financial Astrologer’s Notebook:  Fiscal Forecast

February 22, 2026

By Christeen Skinner

Looking ahead at how upcoming planetary patterns may influence markets and geopolitical issues, several areas of concern emerge.

TRADE & ALLIANCE

Mark Carney’s speech at the Davos World Economic Forum on January 20th succinctly captured the issues facing the global community. As Saturn and Neptune leave Pisces, the old world order is dissolving. Canada has already made new deals with China, with the UK not far behind. The tariffs initiated by President Trump have yet to have full effect. Their full impact could be felt as Jupiter accents the positions of Mercury and Mars in the second Trump Inauguration chart between April 26th and June 2nd.

EQUITIES & INVESTMENT

A stock market correction is probable in this first quarter of 2026. Planetary configurations suggest the period between Feb 27th and early March – anniversary dates of previous declines – as bringing correction. Such periods bring investment opportunity. Everyone has their favorite sector and your personal chart yields clues as to which areas could work well for you. At a general level my favorite picks include energy stocks, companies offering security systems and, as always, those businesses providing essential services.

GOLD & SILVER

Investors want to know if gold and silver will return to those recent highs, and when they should buy.

The Solar Eclipse of 17 February (28 Aquarius) conjoins Uranus in the chart for the London Gold Fix (1). Uranus is the planet of politics and of unexpected development. Rarely do events manifest on the exact day of the eclipse: often action is triggered by the passing of another planet over that position. That being the case, I expect marked reaction on March 1st. You will need to use technical analysis to determine the direction! Astrology is the extra timing implement in your trading toolbox, and should never be used alone.

As the next Full Moon (March 3rd) is also a Lunar Eclipse, and with Saturn and Neptune aligning on the World Axis (2) between the two events, global confidence in currencies and digital trust comes into sharp question.

Silver’s cosmic cycles suggest it’s merely pausing to catch its breath. If you have followed my monthly classes, you’ll know we were spot-on predicting last autumn’s surge. My sense, based on both planetary mathematics and long-term cycle studies, is that the second quarter of this year bears watching.  I anticipate another sharp move—perhaps a new high for silver—after the Sun’s alignment with Uranus in Gemini in late May.

Notes:  (1) The London Gold Fix (now officially the LBMA Gold Price) is a globally recognized benchmark for valuing gold, set twice daily via electronic auction at 10:30 and 15:00 GMT. Administered by the ICE Benchmark Administration (IBA), this auction matches buy and sell orders from multiple LBMA-accredited members to determine a fair market price for large, unallocated trades in USD.

(2) In astrology, the World Axis (or Axis Mundi) refers to the potent cardinal points – of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn – which are considered high-impact, global, or public points that connect personal horoscopes to the wider world. Planets or Angles within roughly 1-5 degrees of these points indicate high visibility, public engagement, or events that impact the collective.
