DRUMS OF WAR
By Christeen Skinner
Every two years Mars aligns with Pluto; given the nature of these two planets it is perhaps unsurprising that the alignment coincides with a day of dramatic activity recorded in history books. This week’s conjunction is special in that it’s their first in Aquarius since 1779. That conjunction was the last of a series in Aquarius that began in 1777.
Within days of each of these alignments major battles took place in both the American War of Independence and in European theatres of war. In fact, almost to the day, the Royal Navy attacked a Spanish merchant ship. It is not unreasonable to suppose that escalation in hostilities in many areas of the world will see violent action around this Wednesday’s alignment.
Aquarius is one of the Air signs and headline news before Friday could also include developments I the worlds of robotics and artificial intelligence. Just as the 18th Century Industrial Revolution brought the demise of many tasks and so out many out of work, this week’s news promises the same. Exciting as scientific and technological breakthrough may be, it will likely threaten the job security of many.
Developments in global political arenas should also provide headlines news with ever deepening fractures appearing. These are not optimal conditions for peace-making.
Understandably, with so much tension, it would be understandable if investors sought safe haven making it likely that the price of certain assets – especially Bitcoin and Gold – trending upward.
