Leaves From a Financial Astrologer’s Notebook:  November 2026

A Coronal Mass Ejection on October 21st is expected to glance the Earth just hours after the Full Moon on October 25th. An indication of the potential for ‘sparks flying’ over the next few days? The NASDAQ index declined sharply after a similar CME in June. If history repeats, then we could see strong moves to the downside from Monday the 26^th of October.

Pluto is positioned at the midpoint of this Sun-Moon opposition, adding to expectation of high (toxic, terrorist and financial) drama. There was a similar Sun-Pluto-Moon arrangement (in the same Signs) in October 1779.  In 1779 the American Revolutionary War expanded into a global conflict, marked by Spain’s entry into the war, major naval battles. That was followed by a decade of turbulence that concluded with the French Revolution.

Then – as now – both Pluto and dwarf planet Ceres were out of bounds. (Their declination exceeding the furthest of the Sun’s angle relative to the celestial equator).

In an address back in February, Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney heralded the dawn of a new world order. It seems that we are also in the midst of a Global Economic Reset.  Venus’ conjunction with the Sun in Scorpio October 24-25 concluded its tracing of a five-pointed star. For the remainder of all our lives there will never be a similar conjunction in that Sign – suggesting that we have now entered the concluding phase of something – but what?

Scorpio is a Sign associated with ‘sex, death, transformation and taxes and money’. We are undoubtedly witnessing the demise of cash that is being replaced by digital currencies. We also note the emergence of a trans-community. Death too is under-review with cautious acknowledgement that there is blurred distinction between physical reality and other worlds.  Then there are tax systems demanding review as governments seek to fill growing black holes in their budgets.  Underwater currents (Scorpio?) are strong and stability in every sense threatened.

During my recent trip to Turkiye, my colleague Oner Doser and I examined the chart for NATO. A Pluto transit is underway, and it may be that Turkiye leaves NATO and that by mid-2028, NATO itself is disbanded and replaced. The stage for re-alignment is being set as Mercury and Venus retrograde through Scorpio and, in Venus’ case, the late degrees of Libra.

At this latest Full Moon, we had the Brazilian and Israeli elections and, on November 3rd, just as the Sun and retrograde Mercury conjoin, the midterms in the USA. Whatever the outcomes in each of these, the likelihood of subsequent legal challenge in all cases is high.

Scorpio is a Sign noted for its focus on trust, integrity and honesty. These themes play out in the lives born under this Sign. With Mercury and Venus retrograde in this Sign it is understandable that many are questioning those systems that are supposed to be ‘safe’. Are the banks really secure?

The recent August Lunar Eclipse was similar to the one that heralded the collapse of Lehman Bros in 2008. Might we witness a Hallowe’en financial debacle of similar proportion? I can’t rule it out.

Then there is the alignment of Mars-Jupiter and the lunar South Node waiting in the wings. Using Moon-related Draconic astrology, this alignment is on the World Axis: perhaps indicating global turmoil mid-November.  That alignment occurs within two days of Mercury and Venus turning direct: a double indicator of change of pace.

Analysis of Mars-Jupiter conjunctions since 2000 reveals that with the exception of 2 occasions (2002 and 2020) the price of both silver and gold rose in the two weeks leading into the alignment before declining.  The key dates for equities, gold and silver between now and the next Full Moon on November 24th, include October 30th, November 3rd, 4th, 9th, 14th, 16th and 23rd.
