THE LEO NEW MOON’ S ENERGETIC NEWS August 4th, 2024

A new cycle is beginning and it’s wild, bold and creative. The Sun and Moon will join together at 12 degrees of Leo leaving the emotional, sensitive water cycle of Cancer behind and turning our lives into an active, passionate, must do fire time! Nothing is easy or smooth this month, because many of the planetary bodies are in stressful aspects with each other.  Mercury will turn retrograde just after the Sun and Moon align creating an underlying unpredictability in daily life where things may not go as planned.  We all will need to stretch our ability to be patient and flexible, allowing uncertainty, confusion, and possible chaos into our lives during this unsettled month of August.

Leo is a sign concerned with the egoistic self and everyone needs attention and acknowledgement now. Leo is bold and brave and it’s time to wear your flashiest outfit to shine. It’s   time to have the courage to step out of the shadows and take center stage. It’s time to follow your inner child’s heart’s desire. It’s time to take risk and have a party and most importantly to have fun.  We all must make an intention for joy and feeling good as the sun in Leo, always at this time of year, has the most access to powerful, natural self – expression!

Leo is bountiful but this month is the beginning of a change in the abundance on the planet. Jupiter (expansion) and Saturn ( contraction) will move 90 degrees apart from one another. Astrologers call this aspect a “square”. They joined together in 2021 right at the start of Covid starting a new 20-year cycle that has to do with the business/financial and societal structures here on earth. Every 20 years a new theme is created according to what sign they join in. They paired up in the sign of Capricorn, which has at its essence “conservative authoritarianism”. We have witnessed since than a divide and polarization between liberalism and conservatism all across the globe. Now 3 years later they have moved apart and are now approaching the uncomfortable cross road that happens in every square aspect between planets. Jupiter that represents freedom and expansion will have to bow down to Saturn, that’s in charge of Capricorn, representing sober contraction. The first of the three squares will begin August 19^th and we may begin to feel and experience a cautious shift. Now is not the time to expand without careful thought and consideration. There may be a tightening of the financial ropes. The economy may begin to collapse.  Whenever Saturn is involved we need to become humble, face reality and pay our dues.

The planets Neptune and Venus are in the last degree of the signs they are in, indicating a karmic end to some financial or relationship situation we are in . We may be dealing with some urgent completions or a sense that something we were once committed to is fading away.  Knowing this, be grateful for any endings that come your way knowing you are in rhythm and in syncope with life’s cosmic perfect order. It’s time to trust and let go.

Mars and Jupiter moving closer together in Gemini, the sign of communication, as this cycle begins, may indicate excessive talk and mental stimulation leading to a sense of feeling overwhelmed. The world stage is filled with exuberant News, News, News!  Do your best to not be toppled over by it. The relief is if you keep connecting, reaching out, revealing and sharing your thoughts and ideas you will be able to process this very big energy.

This is an intense cycle but staying and trusting your heart which is  “Leo’s” prideful intention and ability will lead you forward. Pause, stay in contact and avoid impulsivity.  The world news is sure to be alarming…
