Taylor & Travis Tie the Knot
By Alex Miller
What do Christian Dior, Madison Square Garden, and Adam Sandler have in common? Why the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding, of course! Not many details have been released about the star-studded nuptials, held in Manhattan’s Madison Square Garden on July 3rd (though rumor has it the couple was privately married prior) with one thousand of their closest friends, officiated by comedian/actor Adam Sandler, with Taylor in a Christian Dior Haute Coutre gown, and musical performances by Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks. You know, nothing special.
And yet, the cosmos chose to memorialize the event. Go figure. A conjunction of the Sun (11 Cancer) with asteroid Madisonsneve (13 Cancer) (1) places Madison Square Garden in the spotlight, repeating a natal conjunction in Taylor’s chart (born 13 December 1989, no time available) which prefigures the venue as of central importance in her bio (both natally at 21 Sagittarius). Asteroid Singer (18 Cancer) is here too, identifying the bride’s profession.
The blushing bride herself is seen as asteroid Taylor (18 Aries) conjoined asteroid Briede, phonetic match for “bride” (25 Aries), squared asteroid Christian (23 Capricorn), in a T-Square (2) with Mercury (25 Cancer), a nod to the dress (Christian Dior) and the newsworthiness (Mercury) of the occasion, with rabid journalists and paparazzi mobbing the scene, hoping for a quote or a pic. Oddly, Swift sports a natal pairing of Taylor and Briede as well, and both are about to return to their natal degrees (21 and 29 Aries respectively), reinforcing an innate potential for matrimony which includes asteroid Travisturbyfill (26 Aries) (1), identifying Travis Kelce as a likely groom. Taylor also conjoins Saturn (14 Aries) and squares the Sun – for Swift, this may be a practical union, partly business or career-minded, but Saturn can also grant longevity and staying power to the marriage, and the solar contact shows Swift as highlighted on the day.
For Travis Kelce, this is a love match, no doubt, with asteroids Kelsey (29 Leo), a phonetic match, and Travisturbyfill (28 Leo) conjoined Venus (23 Leo), arbiter of love and romance, and planetary ruler of partnership and marriage. Kelsey also squares asteroid Groom (6 Sagittarius), defining Kelce’s role in the proceedings. Much in the way a Swift-Kelce match was mooted in Swift’s chart, there are also echoes of their eventual union for Kelce (born 5 October 1989, no time available). Asteroid Swift (25 Scorpio) conjoins Venus (26 Scorpio) and asteroid Groom (28 Scorpio), with asteroid Madisonsneve (23 Scorpio) thrown in for good measure, combining matrimony markers (Venus, Groom) with a Taylor referent (Swift) and the venue (Madisonsneve).
Travis Kelce was also Adam Sandler’s entrée to the nuptials, as officiant. The two became close friends after Kelce made a cameo appearance in Sandler’s 2025 film “Happy Gilmore 2.” The connection is explicit in the skies, with asteroid Adam (8 Taurus) bracketed by asteroids Travisbrown (2 Taurus) and Traviscole (10 Taurus), two more referents for Travis, for which there is no exact solitary match, opposed an exact pairing of asteroids Sandler and Travisbarman (both 11 Scorpio). Both Scorpio points are also at station (3), signifying a major turning point or change in status has been reached (for new groom Kelce, this is easy to read, but it’s not Sandler’s first time officiating for friends, though likely his highest-profile wedding to date). With no intention of being left out in the cold in this bromance, Taylor is seen as asteroid Swift (11 Leo), forming a T-Square. A Grand Cross (4) is completed with asteroid Juno (8 Aquarius), named for the Roman goddess of marriage.
There’s no telling what’s in store for Taylor and Travis, be it relationship triumph or tragedy. But we can tell what outcome the bride is looking for – as a keepsake of the event for guests, the couple handed out ivory handkerchiefs trimmed with lace and embroidered with a monogram of two intertwined letter Ts, their wedding date and the city where they married. Beneath the monogram are the words, “So it’s gonna be forever…”, lyrics from Taylor’s 2014 song “Blank Space” – which Travis has previously cited as one of his favorites. So may it be!
Notes: (1) Asteroids comprised of first and last names strung together as one word (CNAs, or Compound-Name Asteroids) can be separated and used as cosmic referents for either.
(2) A T-Square is a dynamic pattern composed of two or more planets in opposition (180 degrees), each squared (90 degrees) a third. It represents stress and conflict, with the fulcrum point (at the square) offering a possibility of resolution.
(3) Stations are periods when, from our perspective on Earth, a planet appears to slow its movement, come to a standstill, and reverse course. This is an optical illusion created by the triangulation between the sun, Earth, and any third celestial body; astrologically, it represents a focusing of the energies associated with that point, and often coincides with major life events or a radical recalibration of how that point has functioned previously.
(4) A Grand Cross is a major pattern comprised of four or more points at roughly 90 degrees equidistant from each other; this dynamic interaction can create stress, but also prompts action and motivates growth.
