Sex Kitten Brigitte Bardot Dead at 91

December 29, 2025

By Alex Miller

One-time global sex symbol Brigitte Bardot passed away on 28 December 2025 at her Saint-Tropez home in France, at the age of 91.  In her heyday of the ‘50s and ‘60s, Bardot was acknowledged as the epitome of feminine pulchritude and sex appeal, making some four dozen films, often scantily clad.  Bardot became an icon of the sexual revolution, and after her retirement from films in 1973, at age 39, a noted animal rights activist.

Born 28 September 1934 (1), Bardot’s Venus-ruled Sun (4 Libra) gave her grace and poise, but it was a semisquare (45 degrees) to a pairing of Mars (18 Leo) with asteroid Lust (20 Leo) that granted the sex appeal.  Lust is named for German astronomer Reimar Lust, but acts reliably in its English language usage of “strong sexual desire.”  Paired with Mars, ruling sex generally, it was a powerhouse configuration that made itself felt as early as age 15, when Bardot first appeared on the cover of the French fashion magazine “Elle.”

Cosmic allies in Bardot’s almost preternatural powers of attraction included asteroid Circe (0 Scorpio), representing the ability to entrance and captivate, conjoined Jupiter (27 Libra) which expands and enhances whatever it touches; and asteroid Psyche (29 Capricorn), trine (120 degrees) the Sun and embedded at station (2), conferring an advanced capacity to penetrate male psyches and become entrenched there (station), immovable as an object of fantasy, as further illustrated by the Sun’s opposition (180 degrees) to asteroid Fantasia (0 Aries), the Italian, Spanish and Portuguese word for “fantasy or imagination.”  As well, the Sun squared (90 degrees) asteroid Aphrodite (8 Capricorn), named for the Greek goddess of beauty, noted for multiple affairs of the heart, enhanced her physical attractiveness and bestowed a natural flirtatiousness.

With asteroid Actor (11 Sagittarius) conjoined her Ascendant (15 Sagittarius), governing one’s public image, Bardot was a natural entertainer, yet despite her obvious charms, her film career started slowly, with small parts in French movies beginning in 1952, gradually garnering meatier roles, until in 1956 she had her breakout year, starring in four successive films that received popular acclaim, culminating in “And God Created Woman,” Roger Vadim’s directorial debut, which shot her to international stardom.  Transits in late 1955 and 1956 show her rise clearly.

On 29 November 1955, Bardot received a double dose of cosmic energy, with a station of Pluto (28 Leo), co-ruler of sex and also governing obsession and transformation, in exact semisquare to her natal Midheaven (13 Libra), ruling career, status, reputation and place in the world, also exactly sesquiquadrate (135 degrees) natal asteroid Bardot (13 Aries), a point that would subsequently be named for her; and a Lunar Eclipse (6 Gemini) which conjoined her natal Moon (12 Gemini) and brought out a T-Square (3) with an opposition to natal asteroid Brigitta (3 Sagittarius, an alternate spelling) and square to asteroid Kitty (5 Virgo).  This coincides with Bardot acquiring the nickname “sex kitten” (Kitty), an appellation which followed her the rest of her film career.  Two weeks later, a Solar Eclipse (21 Sagittarius) exactly squared natal Venus (21 Virgo), further highlighting her femininity and appeal.

Pluto’s direct station (26 Leo) on 7 May 1956 reignited the Midheaven, and the Lunar Eclipse of 24 May at 3 Sagittarius exactly conjoined natal Brigitta, propelling her into the spotlight, while the Solar Eclipse to follow on June 8th at 18 Gemini again activated natal Venus in square.  The Mars station of August 10th (23 Pisces) opposed Venus, making three major activations of her power to attract in less than a year.  The four films that made the year such a blockbuster for Bardot were released between March and November 1956.

When Brigitte Bardot passed away on 28 December 2025, the skies heralded the event with a conjunction of asteroid Brigitta (29 Taurus) conjoined asteroid Osiris (27 Taurus), named for the Egyptian god of the dead and Uranus (28 Taurus), opposed asteroid Anubis (3 Sagittarius), named for the Egyptian deity governing funerary rites (and exactly conjoined natal Brigitta), forming a T-Square with asteroid Bardot at 0 Virgo, uniting celestial referents for both her names with death indicators.  As well, asteroid Bardot appears at station, having turned retrograde just six days prior, indicating a major turning point in her life:  in this case, its cessation.  Also of note, transit asteroid Requiem (13 Libra), named for the funeral mass for the dead, which exactly conjoins her natal Midheaven and exactly opposes natal Bardot; and asteroid Nemesis (15 Sagittarius), known as the bringer of destruction and ruin, exactly aligned with her natal Ascendant.

(2) Stations are periods when, from our perspective on Earth, a planet appears to slow its movement, come to a standstill, and reverse course.  This is an optical illusion created by the triangulation between the sun, Earth, and any third celestial body; astrologically, it represents a focusing of the energies associated with that point, and often coincides with major life events or a radical recalibration of how that point has functioned previously.

(3) A T-Square is a dynamic pattern composed of two or more planets in opposition (180 degrees), each squared (90 degrees) a third.  It represents stress and conflict, with the fulcrum point (at the square) offering a possibility of resolution.
