World Series Nailbiter Ending Foretold by Cosmos
By Alex Miller
The 2025 Fall Classic has come to a close, with a seven-game showing at the World Series, American baseball’s High Holy Days. Advantage seesawed between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays, as first one team and then the other gained the upper hand in the win column. As the series closed, Toronto returned to the home field advantage with a 3-2 edge on L.A., with just one more victory needed to clinch the trophy. But the Dodgers pulled off the impossible, winning two consecutive games on enemy turf, and eclipsed the Blue Jays in Game Seven on November 1st.
The week-long back-and-forth had fans on the edge of their bleachers, but a look at the heavens for the start of the competition could have reassured Dodgers supporters that the Series was in the bag for their team.

There are no asteroids approximating “Dodgers” or “Blue Jays,” but there are referents for their home cities and countries. Toronto has its own asteroid, and Canada has three that do celestial stand-in duty: La Canada, Canada-Assandri, and Kanata (the name used by indigenous peoples for the land which became Canada). Los Angeles means “the angels,” and its citizens are known as Angelinos, so asteroids Angel and Angelina make fitting cosmic referents, while asteroid America can be used for the US. Favorable markers interacted with L.A. referents throughout the series, while unfavorable markers clustered abut Toronto’s.
The opening moment of the World Series can be used to determine the overall tone of the competition, pointing to the ultimate victor. At the start of Game One, 8 PM EDT on 24 October 2025 at Toronto’s Rogers Centre, asteroid Angelino (14 Aquarius) finds itself conjoined the Midheaven (11 Aquarius), the point of highest elevation in the chart, the focus of all eyes, a point representing status and reputation. From there, Angelino is trine (120 degrees, a supportive aspect) to Venus (13 Libra), known as the Lesser Benefic, providing positive outcomes; and also squared (90 degrees) a pairing of asteroids Yes (13 Taurus) and Victoria (16 Taurus), reaffirming (Yes) their win (Victoria, named for the Roman goddess of victory).

As well, asteroid Angel (29 Libra) conjoins both the Sun (1 Scorpio), placing a bright beacon on L.A.’s performance and chances of success, and asteroid Nike (22 Libra), named for the Greek goddess of victory, illuminating (Sun) the Dodger’s (Angel) eventual win (Nike). Angel is also squared Jupiter (24 Cancer), which rules professional sports and is known as the “Greater Benefic,” promoting luck and increase, fame and celebrity.
In sharp contrast, asteroid Toronto (28 Aquarius) conjoined Damocles (29 Aquarius), representing the looming threat of disaster, and squared Uranus (0 Gemini), noted for providing shocks and upsets. Toronto’s opposition (180 degrees) to asteroid America (22 Leo) displays the transnational struggle underlying the roster, with the competition reflecting recent tensions between the US (America) and Canada (Toronto).
Canadian referents also fared poorly, with asteroid Canada-Assandri (8 Virgo) conjoined asteroid Losse (13 Virgo), an alternate spelling and phonetic match for “loss,” signaling defeat. Canada-Assandri also squares the Ascendant (8 Gemini), the public face of the Series, as well as Uranus, reinforcing the “shocks and upsets” vibe. The square to the ascendant has the Canadian team (Canada-Assandri) looking like (Ascendant) the losers (Losse). Asteroid La Canada (15 Cancer) feeds into this pattern as well, being sesquiquadrate (135 degrees) doom-predictive Damocles and exactly semisquare (45 degrees) Uranus, also widely opposed asteroid NOT (24 Capricorn), symbolizing negation or nullification.
Similarly, asteroid Kanata (15 Scorpio) exactly conjoins asteroid Lacks, another symbol of falling short or underperforming, and is within orb of asteroid Nemesis (20 Scorpio), identifying an opponent or enemy and known as the bringer of destruction; and a Mars/Mercury pairing (22 & 25 Scorpio), with Mars ruling athletes and competition, and Mercury representing newsworthy events.

Mercury also rules pitchers, and Dodgers phenom pitcher Shohei Ohtani was instrumental in the Blue Jay’s defeat. The Mercury/Nemesis portrays this perfectly, symbolizing a downfall (Nemesis) via pitching (Mercury). Nemesis and Mercury squared asteroid Otani (21 Leo), alternate spelling and phonetic match for Ohtani, just puts the cosmic icing on the Dodgers’ celebratory cake, pointing directly to a chief cause of their victory.
