Israeli Airstrike Kills Five Al Jazeera Journalists

August 11, 2025

By Alex Miller

An Israeli attack on a tent outside the Gaza City Hospital Complex on Sunday, 10 August 2025 took the lives of five Al Jazeera journalists, a hospital administrator, and two others, also damaging the emergency room entrance to the facility.  28-year-old correspondent Anas al Sharif, accused by Israel of being a leader of a Hamas terrorist cell, was the apparent target.  All told, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) estimates that 183 journalists have been killed since the conflict with Hamas began in 2023, 178 by Israel.

This attack occurred as Mercury (4 Leo), ruling both news and journalism, came to its station, about to resume apparent direct motion on the 11th, a period fraught with meaning and power, pulling focus.  Mercury opposed (180 degrees) Pluto (2 Aquarius), known as the modern lord of death, and rested on the midpoint of a trine aspect (120 degrees) between Uranus (0 Gemini) ruling explosions and bombings, and Mars (4 Libra), ruling attacks and violent death, in a sextile aspect (60 degree) to each.  With Uranus and Mars both also trine Pluto, a Grand Trine Kite pattern is formed, which vividly encapsulates the event in a cosmic shorthand, describing journalists (Mercury) dying (Pluto ) in a bombing (Uranus) attack (Mars).

As well, Mars forms a Grand Cross (a dynamic pattern comprised of four or more points equidistant from each other in 90-degree intervals), opposing an exact conjunction of Saturn, ancient lord of death, and Neptune, ruling religious zealotry and fanaticism (both at 1 Aries) and squaring (90 degrees) asteroid Israel (2 Cancer) with TNO (Trans-Neptunian Object, hailing from the solar system region that includes Pluto) Chaos (4 Cancer) and asteroid Rip (9 Capricorn), which acts as a death indicator in the form of the acronym RIP, “Rest In Peace.”  This identifies the perpetrator (Israel) of the attack (Mars), the underlying religious basis (Neptune) for the conflict, the resulting turmoil and disruption (Chaos), and the fatalities (Saturn, Rip).

Israel’s specific target, journalist Anas al Sharif, is seen as asteroid Sharaf (27 Aquarius), closest to his surname, which appears in a second Grand Cross, opposing the Sun (18 Leo), providing illumination and focus, with asteroid Requiem (21 Leo), named for the funeral mass for the dead, squared asteroids Bombig (27 Taurus), “bombing” without the “n”, and BAM (29 Scorpio), an onomatopoetic rendering of the sound an explosion makes.  Again we see the loss of life (Requiem) in a bombing (Bombig) explosion (BAM), specific to al Sharif (Sharaf), granting him prominence (Sun) as a headline, instead of a byline.
